When I began making memorials, I was grieving my older brother Robin, who was 27, when he died of colon cancer. With tears in my eyes, I created glass keepsakes for my parents with his ashes inside. I used colors that reminded us of his eyes. My dad kept his in his car. Mom wore him in a pendant. I saw how much comfort these little stones were bringing to them. A small piece of hope to hold during the darkest of times.
